COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been seven new cases of COVID-19 and eleven recoveries, which should decrease the number of active cases by four, but the CCDOH is reporting the number of active cases has increased by one to 111. There are still 27 people hospitalized with the virus, but today there is one in the ICU. It has now been eighteen days since there has been a death from COVID-19 in Columbia County. 

With seven positives out of 208 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 3.4 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 2.7 percent--that is, 74 positives out of 2,781 test results.
