COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been ten new cases of COVID-19 and thirteen recoveries, which, according to Gossips' math, would reduce the number of active cases by three to 106, but the CCDOH is reporting 105 active cases. The number of hospitalized and in the ICU with the virus remains the same as yesterday. There are ninety fewer county residents in mandatory quarantine today than there were yesterday, but the number in precautionary quarantine remains the same. There has not been a death from COVID-19 in Columbia County since Wednesday, October 28.

With ten positives out of 500 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 2 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 2.3 percent--that is, 81 positives out of 3,460 test results.
