COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health released its numbers earlier today on Facebook only. Since yesterday, there have been fourteen new cases of COVID-19 and ten recoveries, increasing the number of active cases by four to 109. The number hospitalized and in the ICU remains the same as yesterday. There are 84 fewer county residents in mandatory quarantine today than yesterday, but the number in precautionary quarantine remains the same. It has now been week since there was a death from COVID-19 in Columbia County. 

With fourteen positives out of 491 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 2.85 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 2.4 percent--that is, 72 positives out of 2,987 test results.
