About half an hour ago, Mayor Kamal Johnson made the following announcement on his Facebook page:
Michael Chameides announces he is leaving his role as City of Hudson Mayoral Aide and ADA Coordinator. Chameides's last day as Mayoral Aide is June 11, 2021.
As Mayoral Aide, Chameides supported Mayor Johnson's project priorities, including affordable housing, public health initiatives related to Covid, the creation of an accessibility policy and ADA compliance, and Promenade Hill Park improvements.
"I am honored to have assisted Mayor Kamal Johnson and support the equitable city platform," says Chameides. "I have valued the opportunity to serve our community and work with residents, volunteers, city employees, elected officials, and city partners. I will continue to support the Mayor and the equitable city platform."
"I'm thankful to Chameides for his service to our city," says Mayor Kamal Johnson. "I look forward to continuing to work with him through his role as County Supervisor in order to make our city more equitable."
Mayor Johnson is reviewing candidates for the Mayoral Aide position and anticipates an announcement in the coming weeks.
