COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and seven more people have recovered. As a consequence, the number of active cases in the county has gone from 23 to 19. One more person is hospitalized with COVID-19 today than yesterday, and one of those hospitalized is in the ICU. There have been no new deaths.
As of 3 p.m. on July 6, 2020:
  • Columbia County has had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.
  • Columbia County has 451 confirmed positive cases.
  • There are 19 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County.
  • 395 of the 451 cases have recovered from COVID-19
  • 7 of the positive cases are hospitalized, 1 of those hospitalized are in the ICU
  • We have received 12,469 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.
