COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there have been three new cases of COVID-19--but still no evidence of the "spike" reported on Monday. The CCDOH is indicating there are now 24 active cases in the county, three more than yesterday, despite the fact that there was been one new recovery. One more person is hospitalized with the virus today than yesterday, but there have been no more deaths.
As of 3:30 p.m. on July 8, 2020:
  • Columbia County has had 37 residents that have passed away from COVID-19.
  • Columbia County has 456 confirmed positive cases.
  • There are 24 active cases of COVID-19 in Columbia County.
  • 396 of the 456 cases have recovered from COVID-19
  • 10 of the positive cases are hospitalized, none of those hospitalized are in the ICU
  • We have received 13,114 PCR reports. Please note this number may represent duplicate reports, out of county reports, and multiple nursing home testings.
