COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there has been another death. There have also been 21 new cases and 21 recoveries, so the number of active cases today is one fewer than yesterday. The number of people hospitalized with the virus and in the ICU remains the same as yesterday. 

With 21 positives out of 705 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 3 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to Gossips' calculations, is 2.5 percent--that is, 73 positives out of 2,919 test results.
