In his press briefing today, Governor Andrew Cuomo talked about how New Yorkers, in their response to COVID-19, had not flattened the curve, they had bent the curve. He showed these charts, comparing the curve of coronavirus cases in New York from early March until now with the curve over the same period in the rest of the country.
The curve seen in the state as a whole can be compared with this line graph that charts the number of active cases in Columbia County.
Our curve went up dramatically at the beginning of May with all the cases discovered at Barnwell, and we are still struggling to get back to where we were when this all began, but we are heading in the right direction.
Do your part. Wear a mask. Stay six feet apart.
