COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has published its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there are 34 new cases of COVID-19. That spike may be the consequence of additional testing. Since yesterday, the results for 147 test were received. Also since yesterday, five more people have recovered, the number hospitalized has gone down by three, and one fewer of those hospitalized is in the ICU. Fortunately, there have no deaths in the past 24 hours.
As of 3 p.m. on May 5, 2020:
  • We have 16 Columbia County Residents that have passed away from COVID-19
  • 260 positive cases of COVID-19
  • 107 of the 260 cases have recovered from COVID-19
  • 9 of the positive cases are hospitalized, 3 of those hospitalized are in the ICU
  • We have received 1,719 test results completed for Columbia County residents
  • 180 residents are under mandatory quarantine and 22 under precautionary quarantine
