COVID-19 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there are no new positive cases, and there have been five more recoveries. But there has been one more death, and two more hospitalizations. The results of forty-two more tests have been received since yesterday.

As of 3 p.m. on May 8, 2020:

• Unfortunately, we have had an 18th Columbia County Resident that has passed away from COVID-19
• 317 positive cases of COVID-19
• 122 of the 317 cases have recovered from COVID-19
• 10 of the positive cases are hospitalized, 3 of those hospitalized are in the ICU
• We have received 2,029 test results completed for Columbia County residents
• 189 residents are under mandatory quarantine and 14 under precautionary quarantine
