Where Are the COVID-19 Cases Now?

The Columbia County Department of Health just released its breakdown of COVID-19 cases by municipality and by nursing home. New on the list is Barnwell in Valatie, making its first appearance on the list with 37 cases of the coronavirus, outstripping Pine Haven which now has 35 cases, four more than last week. There are a total of 74 cases of COVID-19 in nursing homes in Columbia County--35 percent of the total number of cases in the county.

In the list below, the first number is the number of cases reported last Friday, the second number is the number of cases reported today.

Aside from the nursing homes, things seem fairly stable in most of Columbia County. The notable exceptions are Kinderhook, where the number of cases almost doubled in the past week, going from 12 to 22, and in Hudson, where the number of cases went from 20 to 26.

Stay home. Wash your hands often. If you must to go out, wear a mask and keep your distance from others.
