Another Loss to Warren Street

We are all aware of the statistic at the pandemic has put 40 percent of our local businesses at risk, but the news of actually losing one of them is sobering and sad. First, it was 2 Note; then, The Bee's Knees. Today, Gossips learned that Vico, which has existed at the corner of Warren and Second streets for fourteen years, is one of the casualties of the pandemic. In an email to patrons, Mark and Adam of Vico wrote:
We opened Vico in 2006 with the goal of creating a welcoming place where people could come to enjoy good food, good drink and great company. I hope you'll agree that we met that goal over the past 14 years in our own humble way.
Recent events, however, have made it impossible for us to continue with the business, and we wanted to let you know that Vico will not be reopening alongside the other wonderful Hudson businesses as they emerge from the COVID-19 emergency.
Their message ended with a parting request: "Continue to support the lively culinary and creative life of Hudson!"

Over the years, Gossips has enjoyed many fine meals at Vico, and this news is sad indeed.
